Submitted by admin on Sat, 01/22/2011 - 19:47Kade, Jan. 22, GNA - Two women, were on Friday, convicted to a total fine of GH¢ 240 by the Kade District Magistrates' Court for keeping their surroundings untidy.
Comfort Akom, a food vender and Adwoa Ataa, a trader, pleaded guilty, and were in addition ordered to compensate the Environmental Sanitation Unit and the Kwaebibirem District Assembly with GH¢20 each.
The prosecution told the court that during a routine check by the Environmental officers, on January 11, Comfort Akom was found to have indiscriminately dumped refuse in her house.
