Untill Justice rolls down...

“No, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.”  Martin Luther King, Jr.

Community Legal Centre Services

CLC provide their local communities with a comprehensive legal service that puts the legal and human rights of individuals first.

CLC help to overcome the obstacles faced by Ghanaians who need access to the legal system, but are precluded due to structural and financial constraints/barriers.

CLC does not just undertake legal case work. They also undertake community and development work with groups of people; provide training education to clientele about the law and peoples' rights; they produce informative leaflets and factsheets on rights and the laws of the land; they provide resources and support and legal advice for other local voluntary organisations; they take on cases that clarify and extend rights for the public; they comment on and campaign for improvements in the law,  in other words, express expert legal opinion and campaign as it affects their clients.

Many Ghanaians are unable to access legal advice either because they do not qualify on financial eligibility grounds or because legal aid does not cover and/or merely does not exist in the areas of law in which they require representation.

CLC purports to fill the gap and complement existing legal services provision to enhance the fundamental human rights of Ghanaians citizens by tangible extension of access to quality specialist legal services and equality under the law.
